The Joel Barlow Alumni Scholarship is awarded to a member of the senior class who exhibits an enduring commitment to Joel Barlow High School, as evidenced by his or her active involvement in the life of the school community. This is not a scholarship based on academic achievement, but one that is focused on the student who, through their actions, exemplifies an outstanding example of the core values of the Joel Barlow High School community.
Awardees are identified by a committee consisting primarily of Joel Barlow staff members. It is our hope that this particular scholarship will give a student who may not be an academic star, an opportunity to be a star in their own right for the many contributions they have made to the Joel Barlow community.
